James W. Beversdorf

JAMES W. BEVERSDORF age 76 died Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Beversdorf was born July 14, 1933 in New Haven, Michigan to the late Walter and Marion (Haight) Beversdorf. He married Roberta (Holsworth) Burgess in New Haven on March 5, 1983. Jim graduated from New Haven High School in 1951 and served in the United States Navy. He retired in 1991 from W.H. Froh Trucking Company after 32 years service and went on to work for EMANCO Environmental Service. He was a member of the Teamsters and enjoyed tinkering in his pole barn, farming and going up north to his cabin. He is survived by his wife, Roberta, children, James Beversdorf of Richmond, Jodi and Jeffery Kethe of Lenox, Connie and Lynn Ryan of Lenox, Bill and Beverly Burgess of Lenox and Craig and Dee Burgess of MN., brother-in-law, Lynn Ryan of Lenox, cousin, Marilyn (Muggy) Jones of St. Clair Shores, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Jean Ryan on May 18, 2002. A funeral service will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverends Todd Evans and Jack Dundas will officiate. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Congregational Church of New Haven
