Helen Henrietta Schafka

Helen Schafka was born September 4, 1921 and died peacefully at home with loved ones on November 20, 2017. Devoted wife to Raymond Schafka, loving mother to son‘s Mike, wife Barb, and Mark, wife Valerie. She was proud of her six grandchildren Michael, Nick, Matthew, Christine, Michelle, Steve, and seven great-grandchildren.
For many years, Helen was a volunteer in the gift shop at Providence Hospital and delivered meals on wheels at Royal Oak Manor. She enjoyed traveling, eating out with family and friends, and trips with the Ferndale Senior Citizens. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, brother Norm Monpetit, and sister Marie Giles.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11 A.M. with a visitation from 10 A.M. until the time of service at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.
