GORDON THOMAS MORGAN age 83 of Richmond died Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the Village of East Harbor in Chesterfield Township after an extended illness. Mr. Morgan was born July 13, 1931 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late John and Lucy (Mullinger) Morgan. He graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1949 and earned an Associate Degree from Macomb County Community College in 1987. Gordon married Roseanne Peres in Detroit on September 10, 1955. Roseanne died on March 19, 1964. He married Patricia Machowski in Richmond on October 4, 1969. Gordon worked in the printing business for most of his life working at National Reproductions in Detroit, Industrial Printing in Richmond and TAS Graphics in Detroit. His last employment was as a tax collector for the Internal Revenue. He was a veteran of the United States Army, member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and Past President of the Richmond Lions Club. He was the recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones Award. Gordon served as a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed photography and motorcycling. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, children; Pamella (Nocy) Fathi of Santa Clarita, CA, Kenneth (Kathryn) Morgan of Farmington Hills, MI. and Mark (Lisa) Morgan of Barboursville, VA, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, Roseanne, he was preceded in death by his brother John R. Morgan. A funeral Mass will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:30am in St Augustine Church. Reverend Joseph Horn will officiate. Visiting will be from 9:30 to 10:30am.
