Gloria Ann Werner
April 14, 1941 — December 22, 2019
Gloria Ann Werner, 78, a forty-year resident of Lenox Twp, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 surrounded by family after a short illness. Mrs. Werner was born April 14, 1941 in Detroit to the late Edward and Matilda (Vlinski) Block. She married Herman Werner in Detroit on August 17, 1963. Gloria worked for several years at the Learner's clothing store in downtown Detroit before becoming a housewife. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Gloria enjoyed roller skating at the Ambassador Rink with her sister Arlene when she was a teenager as well as spending time traveling with Herman, being a 4-H Poultry leader, camping with her children and grandchildren and most of all having her puppies, Annie and Sydney by her side. She is survived by her children; Connie (Michael) Mlot of Richmond, Christopher (Mary) Werner of Richmond, Carolyn Werner of Sterling Heights, siblings, Edward Block of Detroit and grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa and Mikayla Mlot. She preceded in death by her husband Herman Werner, her parents, siblings, Charles Block, Arlene Buck and Theresa Stringer.
Visitation will be 4:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
Funeral Mass will at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 until the time of Mass Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062.
