Gloria I. Meyers

GLORIA I. MEYERS age 81 of Richmond died unexpectedly in her home on Friday, March 11, 2011. Mrs. Meyers was born May 26, 1929 in Detroit to the late Glenn and Leona (Gagne) Weister. She married Edmond Meyers in Bowling Green, Ohio on May 29, 1948. Mr. Meyers died November 14, 1986. Gloria was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Richmond and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post in Richmond. She was a fun loving mom who enjoyed knitting, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren and an avid player of computer games. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Houston and Linda (Stephen) Livingston both of Columbus Township, a brother, Glenn (Jean) Weister of Florida, sister-in-law, Patricia Weister of Evansville, IN., grandchildren, Stephen and Alexa Livingston, Jeremy Howard and Joshua Houston and great-grandchildren, Samatha, Jaycob and Noah Livingston. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Jerry Thomas Howard in 1976, son-in-law, David Houston on November 25, 2001 and siblings, Mary Gave, Margaret Smith and John Weister. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:30 am in the First United Church of Christ in Richmond. Reverend Jennifer Long, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
