Gloria Jean Delcourt

Gloria Jean Delcourt, 89, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Gloria was born August 4, 1929 to the late Giuseppe and Clelia Marocco. Beloved wife of the late Maurice Delcourt; cherished mother of Deborah (Daniel) Roy, Mark (Nina) Delcourt, Nancy (Paul) Pecorilli, Matthew (Lisa) Delcourt, MaryAnn (James Jr.) Cuccurello and Luke Delcourt; caring grandmother of Andrew (Stacey), Gina (Levy), Sheila, Martin, Amanda (Kevin), Kimberly (Greg), Victoria, Johnatan, David, Dominique (Kevin), Danielle, Christina, Kaitlyn, Roseann (Brett), Timothy, Antonio, James III and Franko; great grandmother of 15.
While raising her family Gloria commuted to and attended college. She received her bachelor's degree in 1972 and her Master's degree in 1979 from Oakland University. Her professions included teaching, counseling, and journalism. She was also a fabulous homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. She loved getting dressed up to go out, and drove her car right up to her passing. Her beautiful smile and caring personality touched many people throughout her long life.
Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Monday, July29, 2019 at Holy Family Parish, 79780 Main St, Memphis, MI 48041.
