Gerald M. Fistler

GERALD MARVIN FISTLER age 76 of Columbus Twp. died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 after a brief illness. Mr. Fistler was born November 6, 1936 to the late Arthur and Margaret (Vegote) Fistler. He married Susan Carcuff in Richmond on August 18, 1962. Gerry graduated from Richmond High School in 1954 and worked as a heavy repairman at General Dynamics for twenty-five years. He was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hale, MI. He is survived by his wife Susan, sons; Darrin and Paul Fistler both of Columbus Twp., siblings; Ronald (Leni) Fistler of Richmond, Judy (John) Tonkovich of Casco, Leora (Stanley)Newman of Richmond, Carrie (Robert) Buckland of Columbus and grandchildren; Brandon, Allison and Nicholas Fistler. A funeral service will be on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 1:00pm in Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond. Reverend Kelsay Parker, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be Saturday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Sunday from 12:30 to 1:00pm in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
