Genevieve Wroblewski

Genevieve Wroblewski age 91 of Lenox Twp died Monday, July 18, 2011 in St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. Mrs. Wroblewski was born September 7, 1919 in Detroit to the late William and Hedwig (Polmanski) Olewnicki. She married Stanley Wroblewski in Richmond on September 11, 1943. Mr. Wroblewski died July 23, 2002. Gen was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and served with the Altar Sodality and as a former wedding coordinator. She was a member of the Richmond Lioness, a fifty year member of the Richmond V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Blue Water Polka Boosters. She enjoyed making rosaries, crafting and gardening but her greatest joy was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geralyn and Paul Lemanski of Ypsilanti, son-in-law, Daniel Schubert of Richmond, sister and best friend, Virginia Szymanowski of Lenox and grandchildren Julie and Danny Schubert and Tim, Jeff and Mark Lemanski. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joann Schubert on October 6, 2009 and sisters, Helen Gutt and Emily Schweiger. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, July 22nd at 10:30am in St. Augustine Church, Richmond. Reverend Joseph Plawecki, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8pm, Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home and Friday from 10 to 10:30am in the church. A Rosary service will be Thursday at 6:00 pm followed by a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Tribute. Memorial contributions may be directed to: St. Augustine Church, Richmond Lions Club or the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
