Frank X. Defer Iii

FRANK XAVIER DEFER III age 63 of Columbus Township, formerly of Richmond died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Port Huron Mercy Hospital. Mr. Defer was born February 12, 1950 in Detroit to the late Frank and Lottie (Swierczynski) Defer. He married Linda Newsome in Roseville on August 31, 1974. Frank graduated from East Detroit High School in 1969 and received an interior design degree from Macomb County community College. He worked as a quality engineer at Adco Curcuits in Rochester Hills. Frank enjoyed restoring antique furniture and floral design but mostly spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda, children; Frank (Jennifer) Defer of Akron, Ohio, Sharlotte Towles of St. Clair and Raimarie Kipper of Emmett, sisters; Sharon (Rolly) Giampa of Caro and Denise (Dean) Genereaux of Lenox and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael in 2006 and grandson, Ashton Defer-Dheel in 1997. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:00am in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be on Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
