Frances Heimke Eckert

FRANCES INEZ HEIMKE ECKERT age 86 of Lenox Township died Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Evangelical Home in Sterling Heights after an extended illness. Mrs. Eckert was born April 25, 1925 in Mount Clemens, MI. to the late Harry and Ina (Sawitzky) Schott. She married Raymond Heimke in Clinton Twp. on December 28, 1946. Mr. Heimke died May 24, 1969. She married Arthur Eckert in New Haven on November 7, 1992. Mr. Eckert died June 6, 2011. Frances was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ray Twp. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, traveling, playing bingo and taking care of her family. She is survived by her children; Ronald, Daniel and Susan Heimke of Lenox, Nancy DeCaussin of Marine City, Sandra (Kenneth) Fritsch of Macomb and Marlene (Raymond) Dickenson of Lenox, step-children; Bill Eckert of Mt. Clemens and Diane of Ann Arbor, brothers; Gerald (Marjorie) Schott of St. Clair Shores and Harry Schott of Marine City, grandchildren; Samantha (Tray) Brannen, Heidi (Eric) Urbanchock, Mary (Sean) O'Hara, Rebecca (Ian) Anderson, Cam DeCaussin (Amy Hofacker) DeCaussin, Daniel DeCaussin and Alexa and Tiffany Dickenson, three step grandchildren and great grandchildren; Chloe and Wessley Urbanchock. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, son-in-law; Randall DeCaussin and sister-in-law; JoAnn Schott. A funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00am in St. John Lutheran Church in Ray Twp. Reverend Edward Steeh, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Grove Cemetery in Mt. Clemens. Visiting will be on Monday from 5 to 8pm and Tuesday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Wednesday from 10 to 11am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the St. John Lutheran Church.
