Florence Rose Cily
July 30, 1918 — February 28, 2012
Florence R. Cily, 93, of Clinton Township, died Tuesday, February
28. She was born July 30, 1918 in Detroit to the late John & Eva (
Varsevich) Gryebet. She married Michael Cily on December 5, 1936 in
Detroit. In Florence's earlier years she worked for the Carpenters Union in Detroit. She
had a tenacious spirit and enjoyed sewing and swimming. Survived by
her son, Michael of Clinton Township; daughter, Marilyn (John) Maxwell of
Richmond; grandchildren, John (Sally) Maxwell and Michelle (John) Peretto
and great-grandchildren, Patrick, Eric, Anna, and Abby. She was preceded in
death by her husband in 1991, and siblings, Bill and Ray Gryebet , Helen
Asaro and Louise Miller. Florence's family would like to thank Medilodge of
Richmond for the wonderful care they gave to their mother. A memorial mass
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10 in St. Augustine Catholic
Church, Richmond.
