Erika Elizabeth Krueger

Erika Elizabeth Krueger, 92, of Riley Twp., peacefully passed at home Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Erika was born on December 15, 1928, in Newark, New Jersey to the late William and Elizabeth Huth. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Donald R. Krueger; caring mother of Jonathan Krueger, Constance (Benjamin) D'Anna, Martin (Cynthia) Krueger, Monica (Steve) Slesinski, Cindy Krueger, and Katharine (Steve) Aldis; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Jeremiah) Maxwell, Caitlin (Chris) Meyer, Matthew Krueger, Kristen (Gary) Stark, Kathryn (Tom Sicheneder) D'Anna, Anthony (Kelsey Clissold) D'Anna, Phillip (Janet) Slesinski, and Julia (Jesse) Richards; great grandmother of Jacob, Joshua, Ethan and Colin. Preceded in death by her brother John and her first born, Daniel Krueger (Kim). Erika was an RN that spent much of her career working in the metro Detroit area. As a young mother, she provided foster care, and later in life, she lovingly cared for her elderly parents. Erika served on missionary teams to Haiti and Nicaragua, enjoyed traveling and gardening, spending time with her family and pets, and playing the piano. She played the violin for the Macomb Symphony Orchestra and sang in the Richmond Community Choir.
Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service, Monday, January 4, 2021, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 67055 Gratiot Ave, Richmond, MI 48062.
