Enrico Bertossi

ENRICO G. BERTOSSI 73 a lifelong resident of Richmond died Friday, November 10, 2006 in Mount Clemens General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Bertossi was born May 29, 1933 in New Haven, Michigan to the late Enrico and Leona (Miller) Bertossi. He married Phyllis Wright in Richmond on March 14, 1953. Rico was a Korean War Veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1979 as a splicer for Michigan Bell Telephone Company and then became an independent truck driver for Central Transport and MPI Trucking. For the past ten years he was a parts driver for Richmond Chrysler. He was an avid bowler and in his younger years enjoyed hunting. He enjoyed spending time working in his yard. Mr. Bertossi is survived by his wife, Phyllis, children, Rico and Joyce Bertossi, Michael and Renee Bertossi and Terry and Larry Schweiger all of Richmond, his brother, Joseph and Pat Bertossi of West Branch, sister-in-law, Phyllis Bertossi of Ira Township, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Bertossi on January 1, 2005. A funeral service will be on Monday, November 13, 2006 at noon in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Sherry Schacht, interim minister for Trinity Lutheran Church, Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be on Sunday from 2 to 9pm. and Monday from 11am to noon. Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan.
