EMMA EASTER VITATOE, age 91, of Richmond, formerly of Detroit died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in McLaren -Macomb Hospital. She was born March 26, 1921 in Tennessee. She married Alvin Lee Vitatoe in Detroit. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1985. Emma retired from Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company after 40 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and working out in her yard. She is survived by her caregiver and best friend, Nancy Collins; Joe Barrera, her partner and companion for 25 years and his two sons, Roy and Mark Barrera. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Detroit.
