Emma Gerlach

EMMA GERLACH 87, a resident of Memphis died Saturday, June 9, 2007 in St. Joseph Medical Center in Clinton Township. Mrs. Gerlach was born September 27, 1919 in McGregor, Ontario, Canada to the late Richard and Orilley (LaLonde) Mayville. She married Reuben Gerlach in East Detroit on November 24, 1940. Mr. Gerlach died in July of 1978. Emma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond and belonged to the Quilting Club, Ladies Aide and cared for the elderly. She is survived by her children, Reuben and Carol Gerlach of Ray Township, Larry and Colleen Gerlach of Memphis and Sharon and Carl Christensen of Richmond, step-daughter, Edna Watson of Florida, sisters, Delia Barrett and Theresa LaLonde both of Ontario, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by siblings, Wilfred, Joseph, Leo, Norman, Edmund, Bertha and Vida Mayville, Eva McNorton and Lena Drouillard. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 11:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Gerhardt Doroh will officiate. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
