Ellen Hoogerwerf

ELLEN MARIE HOOGERWERF 83 of Columbus Township died Monday, May 28, 2007 in Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township after an extended illness. Mrs Hoogerwerf was born December 26, 1923 in Detroit to the late James and Hannah (O'Donoghue) Roddy. She married Clarence (Bud) Hoogerwerf in Angola, Indiana on March 25, 1945. Mr. Hoogerwerf died October 5, 1999. Ellen worked as a registered nurse for many years at Medilodge of Richmond and was a member of the Good Bears of the World Nurses Association. She is survived by her brothers, Peter and Teresa Roddy of Sterling Heights and Gerald and Betsy Roddy of St. Clair Shores and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by siblings, Daniel and James Roddy and Mary Peter. Cremation arrangements were handled by Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. No services are planned.
