Ellen A. Applin

ELLEN ALICE APPLIN age 95 of Eastpointe died Tuesday, February 3, 2014 in St. John Hospital in Detroit. Mrs. Applin was born February 3, 1919 in Cornwells, PA to the late Thomas and Hattie (Vehan) Shearer. Ellen worked at Plymouth Motors in Detroit and then retired after several years at AAA in Grosse Pointe. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Roy and Christine Applin of Chesterfield, granddaughters; Holly Applin and Heather (Shawn) Driscoll and great-grandsons; Robert Giacobbi and Donovan Driscoll. Cremation arrangements were handled by Rewalt funeral Home in Richmond. No services are scheduled.
