ELIZABETH KATHERINE HEBEL 91 a lifelong resident of Richmond died Monday, February 25, 2008 in her daughter's home. Mrs. Hebel was born October 18, 1916 in Richmond Township to the late William and Arnetta (Price) Furstenau. She married Arthur Hebel in Richmond on September 15, 1934. Mr. Hebel died January 30, 2006. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards and doing ceramics. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. She is survived by her children, Arthur Jr. (Julie) of Richmond, Barbara (Robert) Sutton of Barton City, Lorraine (Robert) Cockerill of Kalkaska, Gail (Jerry) Routsong of Bronson, Arpa Routsong of Burr Oak and Renee Starnes of Richmond, son-in-law, Peter Zurakowski of Knowville, TN., 31 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Elaine Zurakowski, grandson, Timothy Cockerill, great-granddaughter, Natalie Shuboy and siblings, Edward, Herman and William Furstenau, Myrtle Kulman, Bertha Paling, Lillian Gramzow and Lydia Carpenter. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Peters Lutheran Church. Reverends Gerhardt Doroh and Randy Lett will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 8pm and Friday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10am in the church.
