Edward L. Yaek

EDWARD LOUIS YAEK age 88 of Richmond Township died Friday, March 18, 2011 in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Yaek was born April 6, 1922 in Macomb Township to the late Herman and Augusta (Harder) Yaek. He married Phyllis Paetow in Lenox Township on April 26, 1947. Edward was a lifelong area farmer and member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond. He enjoyed his farming and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, children, Everette (Peggy) Yaek of Richmond Township, Elliotte (Marie) Yaek of Richmond Township, Annette (Joseph) Agosta of Columbus Township and Lynnette (Dennis) O'Brien of New Baltimore, twelve grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Albert, Donald, Arnold, Carl and Arthur Yaek and Viola Noteboom, Dorothy Klusendorf and Helen Schade. A funeral service will be on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00am in Trinity Lutheran Church, Richmond. Reverend Kelsay Parker, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Meade Cemetery. Visiting will be Sunday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Monday from 9:30 to 10am in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Richmond Food Pantry.
