Edward Roberts

EDWARD CHARLES ROBERTS 61 of Richmond Township died September 27, 2006 in Mercy Hospital in Port Huron after an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born March 28, 1945 in Detroit to the late Wilford Casey and LaVerne (Benson) Roberts. He graduated from Richmond High in 1963 and attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan before serving with the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. Eddie was a carpenter by trade and served as the former Housing Inspector for the Macomb County Health Dept. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 0687, the New Haven Amvet's Post, Richmond Sportsman Club and the Belle River Lounge Pool League. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and gardening. He is survived by his daughters, Danielle and Stephen Hayes of Chesapeake, VA. and Casie (Ken Parlardg) Roberts of Marysville, his grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor and Garrett Hayes all of Chesapeake. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Casey Roberts in 1964. A Memorial service will be on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 6:30 pm in Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. Reverend Ervin Bauer of St. Philip Neri Church will officiate. Visiting will be Monday from 4:30 to 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Richmond Sportsman Club or the Mt. Clemens Chapter of the Salvation Army.
