Edward W. Howcroft

EDWARD WILLIS HOWCROFT age 89 of Richmond died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Mr. Howcroft was born October 1, 1924 in Detroit. He married Doris Boyd Moore in Sterling Heights on July 16, 1976, Ed retired in 1993 as a bump-man at Jerome Duncan Ford in Sterling Heights after forty-five years service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and his lawn. He is survived by his wife, Doris, daughter; Jill Onyshkevich of Florida, step-children; Kevin (Mary Spiewak) Moore of Brown City, Michael (Beth) Moore of IN and Claudia (Al) Ihrke of IN, special brother-in-law and friend; Raymond (Marlin) Henderson of Shelby Twp, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will at 10:00am on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Visiting will be on Friday from 3 to 8pm and Saturday from 9 to 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Karmanos Cancer Center.
