EDWARD WILLIAM FISTLER age 92, a lifelong resident of Lenox Township died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Fistler was born January 7, 1919 in Romeo, MI. to the late Oscar and Elizabeth (Gumbert) Fistler. He graduated from the eighth grade at St. Peter's Lutheran School in Muttonville. He married Katherine Kulman in Richmond on June 5, 1943. Ed worked in construction for the Labor Local #1191 and received his fifty year pin. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting, fishing and hunting. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Katherine, children; Edward of Emmett, James of Macomb Twp., Robert of Chesterfield, Sharon (Charles) Harmon of Armada and Diane (Thomas) McKiernan of Richmond, son-in-law, William Decker of Lenox Twp., siblings; August of Richmond, Norman (Beverly) of St. Helen, Richard (Virginia) of Armada, Isabelle (John) Willing of Almont and Joyce (Robert) Hartway of Richmond, twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mr. Fistler was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth when he was seven years old and by his parents, Oscar in 1981, Freida in 1990, his daughter, JoAnn Decker on Dec 4, 2010 and brother, Marvin on Feb 9, 2010. A funeral service will be on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00am in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond. Reverend Kelsay Parker, pastor will officiate. Visiting will be Friday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and from 9:30 to 10:00am Saturday in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the McLaren Hospice.
