EDNA LOUISE FISTLER age 92 a lifelong resident of Richmond died Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Medilodge of Richmond. Mrs. Fistler was born July 25, 1919 in Romeo, MI. to the late Julius and Louise (Miller) Hillman. She married Melvin "Pete" Fistler in Richmond on August 1, 1942. Mr. Fistler died April 9, 1995. Edna graduated from Romeo High School in 1937. She worked at the former "Foley's Party Store" in Richmond for ten years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She is survived by her brothers; Walter and MaryAnn Hillman of Lapeer and Charles and Ginny Hillman of Almont, special brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Bill and Jan Fistler who cared for Edna for the past several years and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings; Howard, Martin, Edward, John, Alfred, Robert and Elizabeth Hillman and Dorothy Kleinhans. A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00am in Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Kelsay Parker, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Great Lakes Hospice, 23888 Denton St., Suite A, Clinton Twp., MI. 48036.
