Duane John Rushlow

Duane John Rushlow, 89, of Richmond, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Duane was born January 16, 1936 to the late Joseph and Marie Rushlow. Duane married the love of his life, Jacqueline Carpentier, on November 18, 1961. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked at General Motors. He loved traveling throughout his lifetime, with his late wife, Jacqueline, and family. He started conversations easily during his travels. He also enjoyed taking drives over to the river to watch the freighters, watching sports while he was eating ice cream or cookies and riding his bicycle. He made many lifetime friends and enjoyed social activities with them even in his retirement. Duane is survived by his children, Gregory (Brenda) Rushlow, Sandra Rushlow and Judy (Dan) Scheppman, and grandchildren, Bryon (Taylor Lund) D’Annunzio, Loretta Carter, Brittany (Antonio Garofalo) Carter, Andrew and Ashley Scheppman, and brother, Roger (Peggy Hendrickson) Rushlow.

Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.
