Douglas E. Pentzien, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26th. Doug was born in Mount Clemens to Marjorie and the late Charles Pentzien. Caring brother of Debbie (Pat) Cooper, Dennis (Jackie) and Don (Cheri) Pentzien. He is also survived by his numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug was always civic minded, a member of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department, Richmond Planning Commission, member and officer of the Richmond Sportsman Club, supporter of the Richmond Historical Society, and the Richmond High School Wrestling Team along with many other local and area organizations. He was also a huge NASCAR and NHRA fan. Doug worked diligently on the Richmond Good Old Days committees and was honored in 2009 with the Grand Marshall of the parade.
Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond 48062. Memorial donations may be made to Richmond Volunteer Fire Department, 36725 Division Rd., Richmond, MI 48062.
