DOUGLAS ELMER FIELD age 98 of Casco died Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Medilodge of Richmond after an extended illness. Mr. Field was born March 3, 1913 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to the late Herbert and Annie (Vipond) Field. He married Evelyn Blanchard in Oakland County, Michigan on September 12, 1953. Mrs. Field died June 9, 1999. Doug retired in 1975 as a production worker for Chrysler Corp. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Fowlerville Masonic Lodge and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his children, Charlene and Michael Wojtaszek of Clinton Township and Robert and Dawn Field of Casco, his sister; Elsie Johnston of GA. and grandchildren; Chris (Shelby) Field, Brandie (Carl Dubay) Field, Kevin (Danielle) Wojtaszek, Sarah (Jason) Wojtaszek-Swanson and great-grandchildren; Evelyn Wojtaszek-Swanson and Dean Wojtaszek. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings; James and George Field, Doris McLearon and Alice Knight. Private services will be at the Lakeside Cemetery in Howell, Michigan.
