Donna Lou Orrell

Donna (Rix) Orrell, 84, of Fort Gratiot, Passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023. Donna was born on November 25, 1938 in Richmond to Elroy and Edna Rix. She lived on her Great Uncle John’s farm in Richmond then moved to Smith Creek and graduated from Marysville High School in 1958. She was married on August 30, 1958. Donna was a home care person for 20 years and loved her work. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and just an all-around loving person. Donna enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and working in the garden. Donna is survived by her son, Donald (Brenda) Orrell, daughters, Marcia (Jeff) Ames and Patricia (Rodger Achatz Jr) Plonka, grandchildren, Lee (Neal) Cambell, Theresa (Nathen) Noetzel, Janane (Bud) Rich,Jessica (George) Maschke, John Plonka and Jordan (Zach) Achatz, great grandchildren, Brandon and Coleton Frizzle, Xander Rich, Maxwell and Mason Graza, Samantha Achatz, Trevor and Madison Rich, Morgan and Carter Maschke, and great great grandson Jayce Rich. siblings, Archie, Jerry, Kenny and Elroy (Kay) Rix, Marlene (Dave) Mullen and Leanne Waters and Sister-in-Law Carol Rix. She is preceded in death by her son, Paul Allen Orrell, April 25, 1963, he was 3 ½ month’s old. Also, preceded in death by great granddaughter, Megan Rich on April 2, 2016. Her siblings LeRoy Rix, Betty Green, Robert Rix, Margaret Blakley, Richard Rix, Dick Waters, Francis Waters, John Waters, Mary Lou Lee.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker lane, Richmond, Michigan 48062.
