Donna Jeanne Bartell

Donna Jeanne Bartell, 81, passed away October 24, 2017. She was born on August 7, 1936 in Richmond to the late James and Jean Hollis. Donna married Francis (Frank) Bartell on March 19, 1955 in Columbus, Michigan. Donna was devoted to her family, cooking meals and hosting gatherings at their home. She had a passion for crafting, sewing, knitting and making cards. Donna worked at The Lois Wagner Memorial Library for 14 years. She was dedicated to volunteering including working elections in Columbus Township, Red Cross blood drives and was an active member of First United Church of Christ in Richmond. Donna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Francis (Frank) Bartell. Daughters Kathi (Terry) Miller, Traci Bartell and son-in-law Philip McKinney. Grandchildren Amelia and Aaron Miller. Siblings Doris Essenburg, Jim (Barb) Hollis, David (Lisa) Hollis, Jackie Hollis and many nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lori Bartell-McKinney and brother-in-law Duane Essenburg.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at First United Church of Christ. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday, October 30, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, 68651 S Forest Ave, Richmond, MI 48062.
