Dolores Josephine Koleda, 94, of Richmond, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Paul Koleda and predeceased by grandson Mitchell Koleda; caring mother of Carolyn (Keith) Cardwell, Janet (Robert) Pulver, Paul (Norma) Koleda, David (Linda) Koleda, Daniel (Carolyn) Koleda, Kenneth (Nyoka) Koleda and Nancy (Kevin) Borgacz; special grandmother of Tanya (Johan), Carrie (Brian), Brandon (Lacey), Aaron (Lyndsay), Chelsea (Chris), Rachel (Bill), Evan, Ryan, Trevor, Lauren, Skyler, Kyle, Kelli (John) and Dan (Kari); great grandmother of Ellia, Avery, Kamden, Keaton, Easton, Connar, Kinsley, Sutton, Sloan, Caitlyn and Coltyn and several other step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores was a longtime parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church and silently proud that the majority of her children attended St. Augustine Catholic School. Here she volunteered for funeral luncheons, fundraising events and maintaining count of weekly collections. Dolores was the matriarch of her family and loved nothing more than spending time with them. After raising her family, Dolores was employed at Gierk Shoes in Richmond where she enjoyed working and visiting with the townspeople. She was known as "Granny of the neighborhood".
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30, Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062. Burial at St. Michael Cemetery.
