Diane Edwards

Diane Edwards, 62 of Richmond formerly of Macomb Twp. died Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital after an extended illness. She was born April 9, 1948 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Robert and Lorraine (Turner) Covert. She married James Edwards in Richmond on April 14, 1973. Mrs Edwards worked as an administrative assistant for General Motors Corporation until she retired in 2008. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Richmond and enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Jim, mother Lorraine Covert of Richmond, sons David Edwards of Richmond and Brian and Kelly Edwards of Macomb Twp., brothers Wayne and Jean Covert of New Baltimore, Nile Covet of Richmond, and Mark and Judy Covert of Clyde, MI, and granddaughter Melanie Edwards. She was preceded in death by her sister Roxanne Covert. A funeral service will be Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00am in Community Baptist Church, Richmond. Rev. Bryan Wise, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Friday from 10 to 11am in the church.
