Diane L. Besser

DIANE LEE BESSER age 66 of Croswell died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in her home after a long illness. Mrs. Besser was born September 19, 1943 in Detroit to the late Robert and Irma (Ruby) Young. She married Anthony Besser in St. Clair Shores on May 4, 1963. Mr. Besser died October 26, 2000. Diane graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Roseville in 1961 and worked as a teller and lock box supervisor for Comerica Bank. She retired in 1993. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Croswell and enjoyed, reading, scrap booking, gardening and was known as the "Party Planner". She is survived by her children, Brian and Pauline Besser of Avoca, Denise and Edward Vienot of Avoca and Michelle and Todd Marter of Greenwood, her brother, Terrance and Patricia Young of Warren, grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Jeffery and Lauren Marter, Tyler and Jared Vienot and, Gabriel and Anthony Besser and great-granddaughter, Jersey Hayes. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Besser in 1986 and her brother, Timothy Young. A funeral service was Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:30am in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Joseph Plawecki, pastor officiated. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond. Memorial contributions were directed to the American Cancer Society and the wishes of the family
