Dennis N. Weier

DENNIS NORMAN WEIER age 68 of Columbus Township died unexpectedly Sunday, April 19, 2009 in the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Mr. Weier was born January 13, 1941 in Detroit to the late Norman and Elsie (Witt) Weier. He married Sharon Fontana in Fraser, MI. on January 27, 1962. Dennis retired in 1998 as an operating engineer from Lanzo Corp. to pursue his passion for farming. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, daughters, Andrea (Rev. Randy) Schlak of Birmingham, Heidi (Bob) Devroy of Columbus Twp. and Dianna (Daryl) Conrad of Richmond, siblings, Deanne Colley of Naperville, IL and Kent Weier of Lincoln Park and ten grandchildren. A funeral service will be on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Richmond. Reverends Gerhardt Doroh and Randy Lett will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
