DEBORAH KAY GAFFKE age 60 of St. Clair, formerly of New Haven died unexpectedly on Friday, July 2, 2010 in Port Huron Mercy Hospital. Deborah was born July 7, 1949 in Mount Clemens to the Late Sylvester and Thelma (Berman) Gaffke. She had been a resident of many adult foster care homes in the St. Clair County area and former member of the First Congregational Church in New Haven. She enjoyed doing crafts, making rugs and playing bingo. She is survived by her sisters, Karen O'Hara of California, Denola Noteboom of Lenox and Diane (Bob) Hoffman of Richmond and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her lifelong step-mother, Mary Ann Gaffke on April 4, 2010. A celebration of Deborah's life was on Tuesday, July 6th in Rewalt funeral home in Richmond. Burial was in Richmond Cemetery.
