David Joseph Austin, 85, of Lenox, passed away at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. David was born October 7, 1938 to the late Frederick and Veva Austin. Beloved husband of Ruby Austin; cherished father of Jeffrey (Carol) and Christopher (Tammy) Austin; caring grandfather of Rachelle (Bradley) Fergin, Jordan Austin, Danny (Alyssa) Beals, Jacob (Maddie) Austin, Stephanie (Gary) Holiday, Ashley (Ryan) Johnston and David (Kacey) Austin; great grandfather of Liam, Everette, Roman, Cooper, Vaughn, Callie, Charlotte, Autumn, Annalise and Jameson. Also, survived by his siblings, John (Mary) Austin, Mary Louise Westrick, Denis (Bonnie) and Paul Austin and sister-in-law, Joyce Austin. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert and Gene Austin and Betty Raska, brothers-in-law, Vince Raska and Lloyd Westrick, and sister-in-law, Bernie Austin. David and Ruby loved traveling and going on cruises together. David enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading and playing volleyball.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.
