Darene Ida Martin, 83, of Lenox, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Darene was born August 25, 1941 to the late Nicholas and Madeline Zenick. Cherished mother of Jane (David) Bishop, Gerald (Susan) Martin Jr. and Kelly (Dawn) Martin; adored grandmother of Gerald (Mary) Martin III, Kelly (Kara) Martin II, Marlana (Jason) DeVergilio and Shelby (Joshua) Lesinski; great grandmother of Joshua Lesinski and Gerald Martin IV. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Martin, siblings, Ralph Souppa, Zandra Zenick and Nicholas Zenick. Darene was married to Gerald Martin, the love of her life, before he passed on September 30, 2014. Darene enjoyed decorating, gardening, jewelry making, painting and belly dancing.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Service on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
