Cynthia Ann (Jovanovich) Jay, age 56, of Columbiaville, formerly of Richmond died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 27. She was born December 17, 1955 in Detroit to the late Raymond R. & Suzanne (McInnes) Jovanovich. Cynthia was employed at the Tractor Supply Store in Lapeer as a cashier. Her co-workers and the customers she waited on meant a lot to her. Cynthia's family remembers her as a country girl who enjoyed being outside in natures embrace and for her love of animals, especially horses. She also was very artistically talented and created many drawings and paintings. She is survived by her children, John and James Hafner of East Lansing and Ann (Matt) Hauer and their son, Andrew of Madison Heights; two brothers, Dan (Angela) Jovanovich of China Twp. and Richard (Kathryn) Jovanovich of Fostoria; two sisters, Renee (James) Little of Melbourne, Florida and Diane Jovanovich of East China and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael, Oct. 27, 1998 and a niece Kristle, May 22, 1986. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Al Titus will officiate.
