CHARLES TURGEON age 84of Harper Woods died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Medilodge of Richmond. Mr. Turgeon was born October 17, 1926 in Chicago, IL. to the late Charles and Alma (Albrecht) Turgeon. He married Viola Pretzer in Hemlock, MI. on February 2, 1952. Mrs. Turgeon died October 10, 2003. Charles was a truck driver for City Messenger and then retired from
B & B Trucking as a mail hauler. He was an active member of St. Thomas Lutheran church in Eastpointe and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Sharon) of Armada, Mark (Anne) of Mooresville, NC, David of Cottrellville Twp., William (Tammy) of Troy, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Viola. A funeral service will be on Monday, December 27th at 2:30pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Mark Hetzner, pastor of St. Thomas Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. Visiting will be on Sunday from 4 to 8pm and Monday from 1 to 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Thomas Church Music Program.
