Cassandra "Sandy" Kaczperski

CASSANDRA "SANDY" KACZPERSKI entered eternal life on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the age of 88. She was born in 1920, the daughter of the late John and Agatha (Skowron) Grzybowski. She lived many happy years in New Haven and more recently resided in Chesterfield Twp. Sandy was a loving homemaker and very active in her church. In 1976 Sandy and her husband, Alex along with Fr. James Curtin founded the only Interfaith Chapter of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling, playing cards and games. All who knew her loved her and she will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Kaczperski in 1983. She is survived by her children, Carol (Roger) Horn of Ira Twp., Judy (David) Schweiger of Casco, Jerry (Karen) Kaczperski of Goodrich, Barbara (Edward) Anderson of Fullerton, CA., Edward Kaczperski (Bobby Williams) of Boca Raton, Fla., Chris (Bob) Gonzales of Shelby Twp. and Kathy (Buzz) Lumetta of Clinton Twp., twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson all of whom considered her very special. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by eight siblings. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Francis St. Maximilian Catholic Church in New Haven. Father Joseph Horn, her grandson and Father Christopher Talbot will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond. Visiting will be on Sunday from 6 to 9pm, Monday from 3 to 9pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10am in the church. A scripture service will be Monday at 7:00pm.
