CAROLYN MAZUR age 84 of Troy, Michigan died Monday, December 19, 2010 in William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Mrs. Mazur was born August 13, 1926 in Sprott, Alabama to the late Jessie and Margaret (Morris) Hughey. She married Raymond Mazur in Selma, AL. on December 19, 1945. Carolyn graduated from Suttle High School on May 19, 1944 and attended Montivallo College in
Alabama. She enjoyed cooking and sewing but her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years; Raymond, children; Raymond "Darryl" Mazur of Jackson, MI., David (Arlene) Mazur of Las Vegas, NV. And Debra Mazur of Troy, MI., her sister; Gladys Bee of Ocala, FL, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings; Lawrence, Mayfield and Katherine Hughey. A funeral service will be on Monday, December 27th at 10:00a.m. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Deborah Kohler, pastor of the Congregational Church of Birmingham will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be Sunday, December 26th from 3 to 8pm and Monday from 9 to 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
