CAROL KAY SCHROEDER age 70 of Casco Township died Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Harper Hospital in Detroit after an extended illness. Mrs. Schroeder was born December 22, 1942 in Port Huron, MI. to the late Russell and Mae (Hollis) Hartway. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1961 and attended Beauty School. She married Darwin Schroeder on February 6, 1965. She is survived by her husband, Darwin, sons; Kurt Schroeder of Casco, Kevin (Connie Klajda) Schroeder of Royal Oak and Kris (Berneice) Schroeder of Marine City, siblings; Fred (Sue) Hartway, Janet Kaufman, Richard Hartway, Mary Goike and Linda Hartway and grandchildren; Nicholas, Lexie, Russell and Reese Schroeder. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:30am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peter's, MI. Reverend Janet Marvar will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visiting will be on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Karmanos Cancer Center.
