Carol Lynn Gillis
October 2, 1948 — July 24, 2023
Carol Lynn Gillis, 74, of Richmond, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at Troy Beaumont hospital. Carol was born October 2, 1948 to the late Wayne and Leila Hord. Beloved wife of James Gillis; caring mother of James (Amy) Gillis and Cathlene (Eric) Sanders; cherished grandmother of Wyatt Sanders. Carol is also survived by her sisters, Betty (Jim) Logsdon and Mary Kuyda and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Wally Kuyda. Carol loved her horse’s and horse racing, but also enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her euchre club, classic cars and Keno.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.
