Carl Ewald

Carl Henry Ewald, 76 of Casco Township died Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1933 to Julius and Genevieve (Borawski) Ewald in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the United States Army and later retired from General Motors where he worked as a draftsman. Mr. Ewald married Joyce Chouinard in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Warren on November 19, 1983. He was a member of the Wolverine Organ Association and enjoyed computers, electronics, leatherwork, and woodworking. Mr. Ewald is survived by his wife Joyce and her children Larry (Diane) MacIntosh of Clinton Twp. Linda (Craig) Papcun of Clinton Twp. and Carol (Steve) Savage of North York, Ontario, mother Genevieve Ewald, sisters Dora (Bill) Volkenant of Detroit and Gail (Geoff) Schmidt of Shepherd, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Cremation arrangements were handled by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Memorials may be directed towards the wishes of the family.
