Carl "Sonny" Bauer

CARL "SONNY" BAUER JR. age 80, a lifelong resident of Richmond Township died Sunday, August 8, 2010 in his home. Mr. Bauer was born January 2, 1930 in Detroit to the late Carl and Margaret (Rotherhauser) Bauer. He was an area farmer and in 1968 he and his parents and sister built and operated the Pine Ridge Bowling Alley, now known as Striker's Lanes. He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond. He enjoyed bowling, walking and visiting with people. He is survived by his sister, Dolores Hill, niece, Crystal (Andrew) Hill-Gaffier, nephew, Troy (Melinda) Hill and five great-nieces and nephews all of Richmond Township. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 11th at 10:30 am in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Reverends Gerhardt Doroh and Randy Lett will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
