Bogdan Ratajczak

BOGDAN FRANCISZEK RATAJCZAK age 83 of China, Michigan died Sunday, December 13, 2009 in St. John River District Hospital in East China Township, Michigan. Mr. Ratajczak was born January 20, 1926 in Budzyn, Poland. He married Irena Czujka in Poland on February 5, 1950. Bogdan earned his Masters Degree in economics and politics in Poland. After immigrating to America in 1962, he retrained as a wood model maker, and worked for the American auto manufacturers tier one suppliers as a journeyman model maker until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clair and enjoyed fishing and stamp collecting. He is survived by his wife, Irena, children, Thomas of Mt. Clemens, Theresa Wallis of Atlanta, GA., Bernadette Gardiner of Prince Edward Island, Canada and Aleksandra Ratajczak of Port Huron, brothers, Eugeninsz and Jerzy Ratajczak of Poland, seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 12:00 noon in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visiting will be in the church from 11:00am to noon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
