Beverly (Corby) Murrell

BEVERLY ANN (CORBY) MURRELL age 76 of Richmond died Monday March 28, 2011 in her daughter Kandy's home surrounded by family. Mrs. Murrell was born May 13, 1934 in Detroit to the late Luther and Ollie (Prine) MacGilvray. She was a former home care giver for Macomb County Home Helpers and waitress at Achatz Restaurant. Bev was a handywoman who enjoyed wood working, gardening, building aquariums and doing ceramics. She is survived by her children; Anthony (Eileen) Corby II of Brown City, Linda Schnee of Clinton Twp., Kristine (Ralph) Wirgau of Richmond, Kandy (Stephen) Murray of Richmond, Rhonda (Betty Souillere, deceased) Stevenson of Richmond and Amy (Alan Allor) Murrell of Fair Haven, a brother, Luther (Louise) MacGilvray Jr. of Lexington, 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren She was especially thankful for her granddaughter, Destinee (NeeNee) Smith and great-granddaughter, Saige (Monkey) Rapier for helping with her care. She was predeceased by her former husband, Anthony Corby on March 17, 1983, granddaughter, Jennifer Jordan on May 29, 1992 and five siblings. A funeral service will be Thursday, March 31st at 6:30pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Chaplain, Brian Hansen of McLaren Hospice will officiate. Visiting will be Thurs from 3 to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be directed for the wishes of the family.
