BETTY JO GIACOBBI age 78 of Richmond died Thursday, December 12, 2013 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Port Huron after a brief illness. Mrs. Giacobbi was born January 14, 1935 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Elwin and Alma (Holt) Bromley. She attended Berkley High School and married Richard Giacobbi in Royal Oak on December 12, 1952. Betty was a former employee of the H & R Block Company in Richmond and enjoyed, gardening, jewelry making, painting birdhouses and playing cards. She is survived by her husband, Richard, children; Richard (Michele) Giacobbi of Avoca, Marie Sloan of Berkley, Catherine Ryan of Bloomfield Hills, Robert Giacobbi of Richmond and Thomas Giacobbi of Wales Twp., her brother; Elwin (Vicki) Bromley of AZ, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son; Anthony Giacobbi on June 1, 2007. A funeral service will be on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:00am in the Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor of Holy Family Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Memphis Cemetery. Visiting will be on Tuesday, December 17th from 6 to 8pm, Wednesday from 3 to 8pm and Thursday from 9 to 10am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Make-A Wish foundation.
