BERTHA M. STEVENS age 27 of Columbus Township died December 20, 2008 in her home after an extended illness. Miss Stevens was born September 12, 1981 in Port Huron, Michigan to Ray Stevens and Phyllis Jacob. She graduated from Richmond High School with the class of 2000 and earned her Associate Degree from St. Clair County Community College. Bertha worked at Pet Supply Plus in Chesterfield Township and at Macomb Children's Home in New Baltimore. She was a member of the Columbus Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Jacob, brother, Jerome Brown, aunt, Dian Jacob all of Columbus and half sister Amy Stevens. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Stevens. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 23rd at 10:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Donald Pew, pastor of Columbus Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday from 3 to 8pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
