Bernice Schroeder

BERNICE L. SCHROEDER a lifelong resident of Casco Township died Monday, May 26, 2008 in Medilodge of St. Clair after an extended illness. Mrs. Schroeder was born in Casco to the late William and Lydia (Kaatz) Bandlow. She married Herbert Schroeder. Mr. Schroeder died in 1979. Bernice previously worked at the Review Printing and Medilodge of Richmond. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peters, Michigan. She is survived by her children, Darwin and Carol Schroeder and Darlene and Alan Brown all of Casco, grandsons, Kurt, Kevin and Kris (Berneice) Schroeder and Michael (Sandra), David and Tim (Pat) Miskus, eleven great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Dorothy Krause of China Twp. and longtime special friend, Joseph Valdez of New Baltimore. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin, Omar, Lida, Lydia, Hazel, Gladys and Melva. A funeral service will be at 10:00am on Friday, May 30, 2008 in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Douglas MaGinn, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peters, MI. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Michigan, In-House Hospice or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
