BEATRICE A. DAVIDSON age 97 of Columbus Township died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in McLaren-Macomb Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Davidson was born October 30, 1914 in Detroit to the late James and Ellen (Champine) Young. She attended East Detroit High School and then married John Davidson in New Baltimore on January 13, 1931 and moved to Columbus Township in 1939. Beatrice served as treasurer of Hunt Fractional School in Columbus Twp for fourteen years, was president of the Richmond P.T.A. and an avid quilter, square dancer and gardener. She was active in Columbus Twp. for Cancer Crusades, Diabetes and March of Dimes. She is survived by her sons; Arthur of Oscoda, Tim of Garden, Mi., daughter-in-law; Shirley Davidson of East China, former daughter-in-law; Ginger Shepherd Davidson of Chesterfield, grandchildren, Mark Davidson and his fiancée, Michele Kerner, Drew (Deborah) Davidson, Scott (Lynda) Davidson, Michael (Minnie) Davidson, Jeffery Davidson, Jane (Tim) Cripes, Matthew Davidson, Ellen (Andrew) Townsend and Emily Davidson, former granddaughter-in-law; Cindy Manchik, twelve great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son John "Jack" Davidson on November 15, 1984 and several siblings. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 12 noon in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Visiting will be from 10 until time of service. Reverend Gerhardt Doroh will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested for the Lois Wagner Memorial Library.
