Barbara Elsie (Agnello) Uhl, 85, of Wales, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at McLaren Port
Huron Hospital surrounded by her husband and two daughters. Barbara was born March 2,
1939 in Detroit to the late Adolf and Arlean (Schenck) Agnello. Beloved wife of Edwin Uhl for 63
years; cherished mother of Linda (Edward) Bishop and Carol (Jeffrey) Austin; adored
grandmother of Samantha (Aron) Jaskolski, Edwin Bishop, Rachelle (Bradley) Fergin, Jordan
Austin, Danny (Alyssa) Beals II, Jacob (Madison) Austin and Stephanie (Gary) Holiday; great
grandmother of Chelsey, Tristin, Liam, Everett, Roman, Vaughn, Cooper, Callie and one more
on the way. She is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Edwin Uhl.
Barbara enjoyed watching her grandchildren, golfing, bowling, garage sales, decorating, cross
stitch and digging in her flower beds. She, along with her husband owned and operated Uhl’s
Greenhouse from 1976 until she retired in 2001. She also worked as a librarian, bus driver,
Avon lady, and has been active in choir and altar society at both St Peter’s in East Detroit and
Richmond, where she made many lifelong friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
Service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 67055 Gratiot Ave, Richmond, MI 48062.
